Coromandel International Advances Women’s Empowerment in Visakhapatnam Through Skill Development and Employment Opportunities

Visakhapatnam, December 01, 2025: Coromandel International Limited, one of India’s leading agri-solutions providers, as a part of its Women Empowerment and Employability initiative organised an event to celebrate the achievement of 21 women from the local community who were trained & licensed for LMV driving.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. Amir Alvi, Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. M. Gnanasundaram, Vice President & Head – Manufacturing, Visakhapatnam, along with members of the HR team and the Coromandel Ladies Association. The dignitaries handed over certificates to the women trainees and commended their efforts and determination.

A key outcome of the programme is the successful job placement of 15 women with Femirides Organization, where they will begin their journey towards financial independence. This milestone not only signifies a turning point in the lives of these women but also underscores Coromandel’s dedication to fostering sustainable livelihood opportunities in the communities it operates in.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amir Alvi, Chief Operating Officer, from Coromandel said, “This programme is a reflection of our commitment to enabling economic empowerment among women. By equipping them with employable skills and connecting them to meaningful job opportunities, we aim to foster long-term change and resilience in the communities we serve.”
