OFFICER – A UNIQUE REVOLUTIONARY HERBICIDE
Coromandel ’s Officer is a new unique formulation selective herbicide. It is a special and novel product for rice crops. Officer is a broad-spectrum systemic herbicide that controls all categories of weeds in paddy. It is a combination of Bispyribac Sodium (20%) and Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl (15%) in WDG formulation. It targets and kills weeds like Echinochloa crusgalli, Echinocloa colonum, Eclipta alba & Cyperus rotundus
The Product
Officer is a new formulation selective herbicide with a highly efficient combination of the pyrimidinyl carboxy group and sulfonylurea group. It is recommended for weed control of paddy (rice) crops. Bispyribac Sodium absorbs through foliage and roots and inhibits the branched amino acid synthesis, thereby killing the weeds in the paddy field. Officer’s other mixing partner, Pyrazosulfuron Ethyl, also inhibits branched amino acid synthesis (ALS). Pyrazosulfuron ethyl is one of the new kinds of herbicide that effectively controls broad-leaf weeds and sedges in rice crops. Officer is a novel herbicide with a low dose to eradicate unwanted weeds in rice crops. The novel combinations in Officer ensure effective weed control with their dual eradication power. It gives complete satisfaction to rice growers because it eradicates most weeds from the main field and keeps them weed-free throughout the rice crop weed competition period.
When to Apply
For transplanted & DSR rice we have to apply Officer @1 packet per acre dosage. We have to ensure that at the time of application the weed leaf stage is of 1-3 leaves. This is a must for the best results for Officer.
How to Apply
Certain points to ensure at the time of application:
1: At the time of application the weed leaf must be at the 1-3 leaf stage. The window is early post-emergent application
2: The weeds must come in direct contact with the chemical, it should not be submerged in water.
3: Water should be filled in after 24-30 hrs of Officer application and a level of 1-2 inches should be maintained for 1 week
4: Ensure enough moisture is retained afterward aswell
5: Application should be done through foliar spray only
6: 1 packet is recommended for 1 acre
7: Knapsack sprayer fitted with Flat fan/Flood jet/Cut nozzle should be recommended
Precautions
1: Officer should not be recommended on flooded field/dry field where there is no proper moisture
2: The water should not be drained to another field after officer application.
3: The rain fastness period is of 5 hrs.
4: No pre-emergent/late post-emergent application of Officer
5: Only foliar spray is recommended
