- In MOP the available K2O is 60%. Sodium as NaCI per cent by weight (on dry basis) maximum – 3.5%.
- Moisture per cent by weight, maximum 0.5%.
- Plants absorb Potassium as K+ form and helps in opening and closing of stomata thus impart resistance to the stress conditions.
- Increases disease resistance, vigour and hardiness of the crop. It improves the yield and quality of the all crops.
Mostly topdress and based on the RDF of the crop and complex fertilisers applied at basal and topdress. Paddy, Cotton, Wheat, Maize: 50 kg; Commercial crops – Sugarcane: 80-100 kg; Vegetable crops: 50-80 kg.
