Mr. Arun Leslie George
President & CHRO
Mr. Arun Leslie George serves as the President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Coromandel International Limited. He brings with him over three decades of strategic HR leadership experience. Mr. George laid foundation for his HR career in 1990 when he began working as a Management Trainee at EID Parry India Ltd. During his tenure, he implemented robust talent management frameworks, focusing on recruitment, succession planning and talent development programs to cultivate a skilled and motivated workforce.
Mr. George obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Madras and pursued a Master’s degree with a specialization in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Loyola College, Chennai. Mr. George is a Fullbright Scholar, who successfully completed a General Management Program at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston.
In 2015 he moved to a business role to head the SSP business where he successfully turned around the business. In 2019 he took over as the head of Retail business where he turned around the business and set it on a high growth trajectory.
He has been a speaker at various national and international conferences including Confederation of Indian Industries, flagship program of Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, SHRM’s Thought Leaders Retreat at Chicago, etc.
Mr. Deepak Natarajan
Mr. Deepak Natarajan is the Chief Financial Officer at Coromandel International Limited. With over 24 years of diverse industry experience, he is a seasoned finance leader known for his strategic thinking, operational excellence and business transformation capabilities.
Mr. Natarajan plays a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial framework, driving performance and supporting long-term value creation. His expertise spans across corporate finance, fund raising, investor relations, governance, business planning and cost optimization.
He leads high-impact initiatives in financial strategy, digital finance transformation and cross-functional collaboration to align financial goals with Coromandel’s growth ambitions. His leadership is characterized by strong execution, analytical rigour and stakeholder engagement.
Before joining Coromandel, Mr. Natarajan held senior leadership roles in reputed Indian and global organizations including Tata Projects, General Electric, Cisco, Vodafone, NCR Corporation, and 3i Infotech. He brings deep experience in managing multi-cultural teams, driving operational scale and delivering results across diverse sectors.
Mr. Natarajan is a Chartered Accountant (2000) and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Madras. He has also completed executive leadership programs from Harvard Business School (2016) and GE’s Experienced Finance Leadership Program (2016).
He is passionate about business partnering, leadership development, and building agile finance functions that enable sustainable business growth. He regularly engages with industry forums and contributes to knowledge-sharing platforms in the finance and corporate governance space
Mr. Amir Alvi
Chief Operating Officer – Fertiliser
Mr. Amir Alvi is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Fertilisers at Coromandel International Limited. With over three decades of experience in the chemical and fertiliser industry, he is a seasoned industry leader driving operations, marketing, supply chain, and cross-functional collaborations to ensure seamless availability of four million tonnes of phosphatic fertilisers annually. Mr. Alvi is committed to enhancing farmer productivity through innovative products and cutting-edge technological interventions.
Mr. Alvi began his career in 1989 when he joined Development International Trading Co., Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a brief stint of less than a year. In 1990, Mr. Alvi joined Tata Chemicals Limited and continued his stint for 23 years. He rose through the ranks and positions to become Vice President and Site Head at their Haldia plant, managing a 1.1 million tonnes per annum integrated phosphatic fertiliser manufacturing unit and overseeing the company’s growth in the industry.
In 2013, Mr. Alvi transitioned into Coromandel International as Executive Vice President and Head of Manufacturing. Over the next decade, he successfully managed 11 manufacturing sites across India and supported three international joint ventures. In 2023, he was elevated to the role of President & Head of Manufacturing & Supply Chain, before assuming his current position as COO – Fertilisers in August 2024.
Mr. Alvi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Brilliants School. Furthermore, he completed a leadership certification program in Customer Centricity, Leadership, and Strategy at the Indian School of Business. His exemplary career is marked by his unwavering commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and creating value for the agricultural community.
Mr. Amit Rastogi
Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Amit Rastogi is the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Coromandel International Limited. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA. He was also a Fulbright Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University in 2010.
Mr. Rastogi began his career with Hindustan Lever Limited in 1985 and has held various technical and leadership roles over the years. Between 1991 and 2005, he worked with organizations like Shell Development Company, Hindustan Unilever, and Hindalco Industries, contributing to R&D, manufacturing, and project management.
Since joining Coromandel in 2005, Mr. Rastogi has been pivotal in leading R&D activities, strategic projects, mining operations in Senegal, and technical policy development. He holds 11 Indian patents, reflecting his dedication to innovation and technological advancement.
Mr. Rastogi’s contributions have been instrumental in driving Coromandel’s technical excellence and innovation agenda.
Mr. Sanjay Sinha
Executive Vice President & CIO
Mr. Sanjay Sinha serves as the Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Coromandel International Limited. A graduate in Computer Science Engineering, he brings over 31 years of experience across diverse industries, focusing on IT operations, strategic planning, and technology-driven business solutions.
Mr. Sinha began his career with Tata Tinplate in 1993 and subsequently worked with Tata Cummins, Microsoft India, TCS, and Voltas Ltd., where he held leadership roles overseeing IT infrastructure and digital transformation projects.
Mr. Sinha has played a key role in enhancing Coromandel’s IT systems and aligning them with the company’s strategic business objectives since joining the company in 2021. His leadership has played a vital role in strengthening Coromandel’s technological backbone to support its growth.
Mr. G Babu
Vice President and Head of Retail Business
Mr. G. Babu is the Vice President and Head of Retail Business at Coromandel International Limited. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has been associated with the Murugappa Group for over 25 years, holding various leadership positions across finance and business functions.
Mr. Babu began his career with Tube Investments of India Ltd., where he held multiple positions in finance. He served as the Head of Finance for TI Cycles and TI Diamond Chains for 17 years, during which he played a pivotal role in strengthening the financial operations of these divisions.
Subsequently, Mr. Babu assumed the role of Head of Corporate Finance at Tube Investments of India Ltd. for 2 years, overseeing key financial strategies and corporate governance initiatives. He then transitioned to Chola Investments and Finance Company Ltd., where he served as the National Head of Branch Audit and Procurement for 2 years, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance across branches.
In April 2021, Mr. Babu joined Coromandel International Ltd. as the Head of Finance for the Retail Business. With his extensive experience in finance and leadership, he successfully drove financial optimization and strategic planning. On 1 st June 2023, he was elevated to Head the Retail Business, where he now spearheads growth initiatives and operational excellence.
Mr. Venkatesh Sampath
Vice President & Operations Head
Mr. Venkatesh Sampath is the Vice President and Operations Head for the Crop Protection Business at Coromandel International Limited. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and brings over 28 years of extensive experience across diverse industries, specializing in process development, large-scale operations, strategic planning, and technology-driven business solutions.
Mr. Sampath began his career in 1996 with Futura Polyesters, where he contributed to critical process advancements. He subsequently gained invaluable expertise through senior roles at leading organizations, including Reliance Industries, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Syngenta India, Deccan Fine Chemicals, and PI Industries. In these roles, he played a pivotal role in product and process development, customer engagement, and managing large-scale, fully automated chemical manufacturing facilities, with a focus on Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) operations.
In 2021, Mr. Sampath joined Coromandel’s Crop Protection Business Unit. Since then, he has been instrumental in driving operational excellence, ensuring alignment with Coromandel’s strategic business goals. His leadership has fostered a culture of innovation and efficiency, significantly enhancing the unit’s manufacturing capabilities through the integration of advanced technologies.
Under his stewardship, the Crop Protection Business Unit has successfully scaled its operations while maintaining a strong commitment to Safety, Sustainability and Quality. His ability to navigate complex industry dynamics and deliver measurable results has been pivotal to the division’s growth and ongoing success.
Mr. Madhab Adhikari
Sr.Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing – Fertilisers & SSP
Mr Madhab Adhikari serves as the Sr.Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing for Fertilisers & SSP at Coromandel International Limited. With over two decades of experience in the agri-input industry, he has played a significant role in advancing fertilizer innovation and agricultural practices in India.
Mr Adhikari joined Coromandel as a Management Trainee in 2003 and has since held key operational, marketing, strategic and leadership roles. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President and Business Head of Specialty Nutrients and Organic Business, where he was instrumental in driving growth for innovative segments such as specialty fertilizers, organic fertilizers, nano fertilizers etc. Along with leading the sales and marketing for Fertilisers business he is also currently leading the drone-based agricultural spraying services business.
An advocate for agricultural advancement and fertilizer security, Mr Adhikari actively contributes to industry development through policy advocacy and integrated plant nutrition management. He is a sought-after speaker at both national and international forums, known for his expertise in the Indian fertilizer industry.
Mr Adhikari holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business Management from the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), a postgraduate degree in Agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University, and a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from BCKVV. He further enriched his leadership acumen through prestigious Senior Executive Leadership Program at Said Business School, University of Oxford, as well as leadership programs at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and IIM Ahmedabad.
Mr. K.B. Srinivasan
Vice President & Business Head – Bio Products
Mr K.B. Srinivasan is the Vice President & Business Head – Bio Products at Coromandel International Limited. With over 15 years of leadership experience, he has been with Coromandel International Limited for over 2 years, contributing to the company’s growth and capability development in the bio products segment.
Mr Srinivasan has extensive expertise in business development, product development, and establishing techno-commercial partnerships. He is a specialist in operational excellence, with proven experience in setting up and scaling supply chains and manufacturing systems.
A certified Six Sigma Black Belt and a Certified Manager of Quality & Business Excellence, Mr Srinivasan possesses in-depth knowledge around “Lean” methodologies and their implementation to drive efficiency and quality in operations and product development.
He holds a degree in Business Administration and a Post-Diploma in Operations Management. His passion lies in people development and performance coaching, which has been a cornerstone of his leadership philosophy.
Mr. B Shanmugasundaram
Company Secretary & Compliance Officer
Mr B Shanmugasundaram is the Senior Associate Vice President – Secretarial at Coromandel International Limited. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from Jindal Global Law School, is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and is an Insolvency Professional registered with the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance and Management.
With over two decades of experience prior to joining Coromandel, Mr Shanmugasundaram has led governance, regulatory, and legal functions across various industries, including consulting, IT, consumer goods, automotive, non-banking financial services, and insurance. His expertise spans regulatory compliance, corporate governance, M&A, CSR, competition law, risk-based audits, commercial contracts, legal functions, and intellectual property and licensing matters. He has led change management and digitization initiatives focused on compliance and governance, managed government relations, and built strong relationships with regulators. He has also played a key role in implementing enterprise-wide compliance systems and in M&A-related regulatory matters, corporate restructuring, IPO due diligence, and Open Offer transactions. He has also advised on corporate bankruptcy matters, particularly concerning claims by financial creditors.
He is a member of the Auditing Standards Board, the Secretarial Standards Board, and the Task Force on Publications of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He has also contributed to 13 research publications on topics such as governance, compliance, POSH, compliance audits and guidance notes, and was involved in drafting Secretarial Standards. Mr Shanmugasundaram is a recognized thought leader, speaker, and panellist at various professional forums nationwide.
Mr. Roshan Mammen
Vice President & Business Head – Nano Fertilisers
Mr. Roshan Mammen is the Business Head for Nano Fertilisers at Coromandel International Limited. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from UAS Bangalore and a Postgraduate Diploma from Symbiosis, Pune.
Mr. Mammen began his career in 2001 as part of the Murugappa Group’s Management Trainee program. In his early years, he managed domestic businesses for fertilisers and crop protection in Karnataka. Transitioning to international roles in 2006, he led the export department for crop protection products and subsequently established Coromandel’s first fully owned overseas subsidiary in Brazil in 2009. During his tenure in Brazil, he strengthened regulatory registrations, identified and evaluated targets for acquisitions and joint ventures, and scaled the business from $15 million to $50 million within three years.
Post-acquisition of Sabero Organics, Mr. Mammen played a key role in integrating the international business, focusing on the Latin American region. Returning to India in 2015, he assumed the role of Global Head of Exports, where he significantly enhanced Coromandel’s presence in international markets, making the company one of the top exporters of crop protection products from India.
In 2019, Mr. Mammen took on the position of Innovation and Strategy Lead for Global Markets, overseeing exports for the Americas. He worked closely with consulting firms to develop a B2C strategy and drove both organic and inorganic initiatives, identifying and evaluating acquisition opportunities in Central America and APAC.
During his 20-year career span, Mr. Mammen has been part of various prestigious management development programs at premier institutes, including the Asian Institute of Management in Manila, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Ahmedabad. He was also part of the first batch of the one-year program on Digital Transformation at IIM Lucknow.
After a brief tenure as the Head of International Business for NACL Industries, Mr. Mammen re-joined Coromandel International in 2024 as the Business Head for Nano Fertilisers. His extensive experience in domestic and international business, combined with a strong focus on innovation and strategic growth, continues to drive Coromandel’s leadership in agricultural solutions.
