With the evolving farm practices, we are continuously innovating our offerings to create unique product and service solutions. Our seven state-of-the-art R&D facilities are actively partnering with Agri universities and Technology institutions to develop innovative crop solutions for the farming community.
Farmer Engagement
Our ‘Farmers-First’ approach aims at addressing the gaps across the agriculture cycle and seeks to convert farmer insights into farm prosperity. This includes developing customized crop offerings, ensuring efficient distribution, providing advisory services and introducing novel technologies for efficiency gains. Our Retail Outlets and Agronomists operate closely with the farmers to promote sustainable crop management practices.
- Crop Diagnostics: We employ Smart Agri tools using UAV & GIS platform for the purpose of crop diagnostics. It helps in detecting crop stress, emergence gaps, crop height, weed location & intensity and water stress in the farmer fields.
- Soil testing services: To improve awareness on balanced nutrition and importance of soil health, we carry our free soil tests, covering carbon and primary, secondary and micro nutrients (C, N, P, K, S, B, Zn).
- Gromor Nutri-Clinics have been set up to support the growers by providing advisory services on soil health, cropping practices, nutrition & pest management.
- Scientist at Store: Coromandel harnesses the expertise of experienced scientists who provide technical advisory to farmers on various aspects of crop management. This service is available at our Retail Outlets once a week.
- Farm mechanization services: At Coromandel, we are spearheading farm mechanization by forming alliances with global technological leaders and addressing customization and accessibility challenges. We support land preparation, transplanting, harvesting and spraying activities through the mechanization services.

Tunisian Indian
Fertilisers (TIFERT)
To secure our phosphoric acid needs, a key raw material for manufacturing NPK fertilisers, Coromandel made a strategic investment in TIFERT in 2009. It is a joint venture between Indian and Tunisian partners – Coromandel (15%), Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (15%), The Compagnie des phosphates de Gafsa (35%) or Groupe Chimique Tunisien (35%). The Plant, situated at La Skhira, Tunisia, has a capacity to manufacture 3.6 lakh tons merchant grade acid, which gets exported in equal shares to Indian partners.

Yanmar Coromandel AgriSolutions Pvt Ltd(YCAPL)
With a view to improve our farm mechanization offerings, Coromandel entered into a joint venture with leading Agri machinery manufacturer, Yanmar and Co. of Japan in 2014-15. Coromandel holds 40% equity in the JV Company and the balance is held by Yanmar (40%) and Mitsui (20%). YCAPL markets Agri equipment like rice transplanters and combined harvesters and is amongst the market leaders in the Combine Harvester segment.
