Soil-testing lab at Coromandel

Coromandel International Limited has set up a soil-testing lab here at a cost of Rs 30 lakhs to promote the right use of fertilisers. The lab was inaugurated by Mr M.A. Alagappan, Vice-Chairman of the Murugappa group. The lab has the capacity of 50,000 samples. Coromandel’s marketing staffs will collect the soil samples from different parts and the recommendations will be conveyed to the farmers to facilitate balanced use of fertilisers.
